Tyrone Lea, 80 years old, passed away at Reading Hospital on Sunday, October 29, 2023. He was the husband of Alice Flowers Lea. They shared 28 years of marriage together. He was born on May 7, 1943, in Louisville, Kentucky he was the son of Morris O. Lea & Minnie J. Fears (Flowers-Lea). He attended Central High School in Louisville, Kentucky. He was employed at Campbell Soup Company in New Jersey until the plant closed. He retired in 2007 from The Power Packaging Company in Reading, PA. He was a member of The Church of God in Christ in Louisville, Kentucky. He enjoyed fishing, billiards (shooting pool), carpentry and remodeling homes and watching his favorite team the Philadelphia Eagles. He will be remembered for his loving heart, generosity and for the many families he assisted with their home improvement projects in Reading.
He is survived by his wife Alice Flowers Lea and sister Betty J. Moore, five sons, four daughters and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, father, brothers Chester A. Fears and Morris O. Lea and sister Rose M. Harris.
