Tisha Marie Cooper

Tisha M. Cooper, 44, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Reading Hospital. She was the beloved partner of Emily Melendez; together, they shared 24 beautiful years.

Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Sherwon Bates and Sheila Cooper. Tisha attended Reading High School, where she also played basketball for the Reading Red Knights. She later worked in advertising and at an ad agency for more than ten years.

Tisha enjoyed watching movies, basketball, and all types of sports. She was a devoted homebody who cherished spending time with her family and friends. She will be lovingly remembered for her bright smile, gentle voice, and selfless act of donating her organs so that others might live. Tisha had deep respect for her elders, especially her beloved aunt, Sabrina Key.

She is survived by her partner, Emily Melendez; her parents, Sherwon Bates and Sheila Cooper; and her brother, Darius Lee. She was predeceased by Louise Bates and Donetta Cooper.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Harris Funeral Home, 222 North Front Street, Reading, Pennsylvania.

Viewing will be held from 1:00 until the time of service.

Following the service, a repass will be held at 310 Walnut Street, Reading, Pennsylvania, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
