Susan Marie Landis

Susan Marie Landis, 63, passed aware on December 4, 2020 at her home in the city of Reading.  

Born in Pottstown, she was the daughter of James Harrison Landis and Sarah Naomi (Hutt) Landis.  As a child she graduated from Boyertown Area School District.  Early in her life she worked at a diner and grocery store before taking on the task of caring for her mother and eventually her sister Alice.  

Susan was a member of the Jehovah's Witness and attended The Kingdom Hall on 3rd and Buttonwood for over a decade.  Previously she attended the congregation in Boyertown.  Susan enjoyed singing songs of praise, the yearly JW Regional Conventions, and good food.  Susan is well remembered by those closest to her as being a caring person who always put others before herself.  She was a woman with strong character who was always there those around her.  She is remembered for the love and care she had for her family, her friends, and her faith. 

She is survived by her brother, Joseph W. Landis.  She is predeceased by her sisters Judith M. Hillegas, Alice S. Landis, Martha Landis, and her brother James H. Landis Jr.

There will be a memorial service conducted over zoom with the time and date to be decided by the fellowship at The Kingdom Hall 3rd and Buttonwood.
