Rosa H. Valoy

Rosa H. Valoy, 103, passed away Wednesday, November 25th, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.  She was the widower of Jose' E. Mercado of whom she spent many joyful years with.  She was born in Santa Domingo, Dominican Republic.  She was the daughter of Rafael Valoy and Teodora Martinez.  At an early age, she came to America and settled in New Jersey where she quickly picked up work at United Condenser in Passaic, New Jersey. She worked her way up from electrical conduit worker to secretaria de comercio. 

She will be remembered for her love of family and caring spirit.  

Rosa is survived by one daughter, Rosa Polanco of Reading and 3 grandchildren, Vanessa Schratz, Christina Schratz and Priscilla Deleon and 9 great-grand children, Noemi Christina Robinson Schratz, Damarig Robinson Schratz, Christian Manuel Robinson Schratz, Masiah Mathew Makowka Schratz, Angelina M. Rosado Schratz, Jasneli A. Rosado Schratz, Janaseli A. Rosado Schratz, Hanley Martell Veras Deleon, and Priscilla Joan Riveras Deleon. 

A private funeral service will be at the Harris Funeral Home, 222 North Front Street Reading, PA., 19601 on Sunday, November 29th., 2020. 

Graveside services will be at the Crest Haven Memorial Park, 750 Passaic Avenue, Clifton, New Jersey, 07014, Monday, November 30, 2020 at 1:00 pm.
