Natalie A. Sanks
Natalie “Nan” Annette (Rogers) Sanks, 63, transitioned into eternal life on July 3, 2021, peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones.
On September 21, 1957, Nan was born to the late Ralph Lewis and late Caroline (Miller) Leach in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She graduated from John Harris High School with the class of 1975. She continued her education at Empire Beauty School, where she earned her degree in Cosmetology. She had a distinguished career with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, having worked for over 30 years and retired in 2012 as a Management Analyst.
Nan enjoyed spending time with family in her leisure, cooking, watching TV, and trips to the beach. She was an avid sports fan, cheering on the Cowboys and Lakers. However, nothing compared to seeing her sons’ sports teams; she was always their number one fan. She will be remembered most for being the “glue”, her loving heart, open arms, amazing cooking, a listening ear, and so much more.
She leaves to celebrate her life, her two sons, John H. Sanks III and Brian P. Sanks Sr. (Margaret Ellison); grandchildren, Ajahnae Sanks, Rhayne Sanks, Jasai Johnson, Justin Byrd, Brian Sanks Jr, Makayla Ellison, Jeremiah Ellison, Barry Daniels IV, Kareem Daniels, Asaiah Johnson; siblings, Karen Langford, Michael Rogers, Crystal Lyde, Beth Rogers, Ralph Rogers, Bonnie Rogers, Tracy Daouda, Shirley Lewis, Juanita Smith; and a host of other family and friends. She was predeceased by parents Ralph Lewis and Caroline (Miller) Leach; ex-husband John Sanks II; nephews Andre Dixon and Micah Dixon.
