Marvin Napper Obituary

Marvin Leslie Napper, 87, affectionately known as "Pete," was born on Monday, March 20, 1939, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, to the late Goldie and Robert Napper Sr.
He received his education in the Harrisburg public school system, attending Edison Junior High School and John Harris High School, and was a member of the Junior Varsity football team.
In 1957, while in Savannah, Georgia, he met Blanche Sanders. They later married and were blessed with their son, Marvin "Tony" Napper.
He later remarried the late Lilian Tucker, who shared the same birthday.
As life progressed, he enjoyed a lifelong companionship with Gloria Thomas until her passing in September 2019.
Pete loved life. He especially enjoyed grilling at family reunions, cooking for loved ones, fishing, and was an avid sports fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Goldie and Robert Napper Sr.; his brothers, Robert Jr. and Leonard; and his sisters, Burnetta (Hank) Richardson, Dolores Davis, Evelyn (Bunny) Chapman, and Mildred McCloe. He leaves behind a caring and loving sister, Brenda Pollard, along with many nieces, nephews, and close friends. He was a true mentor and friend to many in the community.
On Sunday morning, June 14, 2026, our Lord called him home.
