Lydia McClary

Lydia McClary, 68, of Reading, Pa., passed away the afternoon of February 25, 2024 in the Reading Hospital following health issues caused by cancer.
Lydia was born in Harlem, NY on August 19, 1955 to Augustus Gibbs.  She was raised and attended school in New York. She later moved to Reading, Pa., in the late 70s where she got married and had a child. She devoted her life as a domestic engineer and taking care of her daughter.
She leaves behind her daughter, a son in law, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren to mourn her earthly departure. She is forever loved and will be missed. A celebration of life will take place in her memory.

Gone but not forgotten by Ellen Brenneman...

          Don't think of her as gone away, her journeys just begun, life holds so many facets, this earth is only one.

           Just think of her as resting from the sorrows and the tears, in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days and years.

             Just think how she must be wishing that we could know today, how nothing but our sadness can really pass away.

             And think of her as living in the hearts of those she touched, for nothing loved is ever lost and she was loved so much.
