Kenneth Allen

Kenneth Allen, 70 passed away on 10/31/2023 at 0130 surrounded by loved ones at Tower Health Reading Hospital.
Born in Augusta Ga, Kenneth was the son of Hampton Allen Sr. and Martha Mae Allen (Seals). He graduated from Reading Area Community College with an Associate Degree in Psychology and continued his studies at Kutztown University. Kenneth was employed at YMCA where he worked as a Social Worker with alcohol and drug counseling.
Kenneth was a former member of North 8th Street Church of God. Kenneth will be remembered as a noted poet, author, inventor and scholar.  Kenneth is known to many as “Gentle Giant” with a humble, gentle, and giving nature. Kenneth has touched the hearts and lives of many.
Kenneth is survived by his siblings Eloise Calloway (William Calloway), Ga, Juanita Ali Smith (John Ali Smith), Pa, Emma Thompson (Bobby Thompson), Sc, Robert Allen, Oh, Hampton Allen Jr. (Tanya Coleman Allen) Pa. Kenneth is predeceased by Sherry Cook
The farewell viewing will be held on November 3, 2023 at Harris Funeral Home 222 N. Front St. Reading, Pa 19601 from 10:00am-11:00am.
