Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of Rodhames Ceballos and Ana Gonzalez. He attended Grover Cleveland High School, where he graduated with his diploma. Josmar will always be remembered for his great personality and his love for his friends; he loved to play video games, basketball, and baseball and loved bonding with his daughter.

He leaves behind his wife, Raegine, and daughter Issabella; his parents, Rodhames and Ana. His brother Junior and his sister, Rose. He had four nephews and one niece.
