Jose A. Rodriguez Camacho

Jose A. Rodriguez Camacho, 83, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026, at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was the beloved husband of Palmira Martinez Rodriguez, with whom he shared over 30 years of partnership.

Born in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico, Jose was the son of the late Jose Rodriguez and Rosa Julia Camacho. He attended public schools in Puerto Rico and later worked as a construction contractor and painter in the Bronx, New York, until his retirement.

Jose was a member of Iglesias Cristiana Ultimo Llamado. He enjoyed painting, boxing, playing poker, and playing dominoes. He will be remembered for his loving spirit, magnetic personality, and the joy he brought to those around him.

He is survived by his wife, Palmira Martinez Rodriguez; his children, Kathy J. Rodriguez and Brenda K. Rodriguez; 8 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, siblings, and grandmother.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Harris Funeral Home, 222 North Front Street, Reading, PA. A viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until the time of service.
