Jose Altagracia Moscoso

Jose Altagracia Moscoso, aka “El Internacional,” died unexpectedly at his residence on February 26, 2022. He was born in San Anton, Dominican Republic. 

As a young man, Jose played basketball, and it became his passion. He became one of the first five international FIBA referees in DR. He was known as “el Internacional” because he was always traveling to other countries to referee basketball games. When he was not traveling, he taught physical education and trained other referees in his country. To him, sports was not only his profession but also his passion.
