Jesus Irizarry Jr

Jesus Irizarry Jr., age 63 passed away on Sunday, November 30th, 2025, at Reading Hospital

Born in Manhattan, New York and was the son Rev. Jesus Irizarry and Carmen Luz Torres.  He attained his GED.

He was a member of Tabernacule De Restauracion Renacimiento INC (TDRR) Church. He enjoyed eating, intricate puzzles and Star Trek.  His favorite TV channels were ME TV, TV Land, and game shows, however Star Trek was by far his favorite.   His fondest memories was living with his aunts, uncles and cousins in Che-Ka-go and would often speak of his time there with great affection.   Prior to his accident he was a jack-of- all-trades. Whether working with his hands in carpentry, mechanics or general handyman projects, he approached life with skill, curiosity and determination.

Raised with a strong foundation of faith instilled by his parents, he remained steadfast in his beliefs throughout his life. During the years his father served as a pastor, he brought joy to the congregation through music, playing the guitar, piano, accordion and even the drums.  Sharing music that uplifted and blessed those around him.    He will be remembered for his kindness and generosity.  Anyone who knew him could tell you how much he loved to discuss just about anything, and debate was one of his greatest strengths, always with passion, humor and a twinkle of good-natured stubbornness.

He is survived by three siblings, Deborah Bollinger, Samuel Irizarry and Isai Irizarry.  He was predeceased by his parents (Rev. Jesus Irizarry and Carmen Luz Irizarry), his brother Josue Irizarry and his beloved Chiwawa, Snoopy.  Survived by many nieces, nephews and many cousins throughout the country.   He leaves behind a legacy of faith, music and love that will be carried forward in the hearts of all knew him.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025 from 2:00-4:00 pm at TDRR Church located at 630 Laurel Street, Reading, Pa 19602, followed by a Celebration of Life gathering at The Bicentennial House, 201 Playground Drive, West Reading, 19610 from 5:00-8:00 pm.
