Jeffrey Cotten, age 63, passed away on Monday, July 8th 2025, at Reading Hospital. He was the devoted partner of Tina Carroway, with whom he shared 10 cherished years of love and companionship.
Jeffrey has a host of family members, including his sister Tyran Morrison, nephew Harlem Holmes, great nephew Ka'el Lane, and his nieces Apollonia Scott and Destiny Morrison all whom will miss Jeffery greatly.
Born in Richmond, Virginia, Jeffrey was the beloved son of Jean Farley and Elbert Cotten. He graduated from Holy Name Catholic High School, where he was one of stars of the basketball team. This is where also Jeff began shaping the kind, stylish man we all came to know and love over the years. He went on to serve in the United States Army, demonstrating his strength and dedication to his country.
Jeffrey was a man of heart and humor. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures such as fishing, cooking, grilling, and cheering on his favorite sports teams, and always stepping out with an effortless sense of style. He will be remembered most for his vibrant personality, quick wit, and the warmth he brought into every room.
Those who knew him will forever carry the sound of his laugh, the sparkle in his smile, and the strength of his presence in their hearts.
A funeral service to celebrate Jeffrey’s life will be held on Saturday, July 26th at Harris Funeral Home, 222 N. Front Street, Reading, PA. Family and friends are invited to a viewing beginning at 2:00 PM, followed by the service.
Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit, laughter, and love will remain with us always.
