James Eugene Riley, was born on April 19, 1938 in Orangeburg, South Carolina to parents Clara and Julius Riley. James graduated from Wilkinson High School in 1956.
In 1958, James moved to New York. He married Louise Brisbon in 1961, they were married for 24 years. Their union produced two children, Celeste and Eric. James worked for the Markovitz Flower Company for 15 years. In 1978, he became a New York City Bus driver for 22 years. A year after his retirement of being a bus driver, he worked at Sam’s Club for 10 years.
James married Beverly Edwards, in November of 1989. They moved to Reading, PA., in 2000. They were married for 29 years until her passing in 2018. James was a member of Holy Trinity Church of God for many years.
James leaves behind his daughter Celeste, his son Eric and his wife Shontai, granddaughters Kaylyn and Christine and great grand son Jeremy.
James also leaves behind his bonus children. Robin and her husband Phillip, and Nicole. His bonus granddaughters LaShaun and Robyn. Also, bonus great grand-children Kendell, Chauncy and Reign. He also leaves behind his brother Willie and sister Mary, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
