James Dickson, Jr., 68, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, in Reading, Pennsylvania. He was born on October 23, 1953, in York, Pennsylvania. James was a graduate of William Penn Senior High School, Class of 1971. He proudly served in the United States Army stationed in Korea. He continued his service with the Pennsylvania Army National Guard for six years. While in the service, he earned the marksman and service medals. He spent his free time volunteering for veterans’ organizations. James also enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends, traveling, and watching football. He lived in Reading, Pennsylvania, for the last few years. James leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Lynda P. Myers, and only child James W. Dickson. He was a beloved brother to Gregory (Janice) Dickson, Donald Dickson, Robert Dickson, Mack (VaRhonda) White, Richard White, and Boyd White; and sisters Betty Thomas, Barbara Jefferson, Anna (Mark) Jones, Mary (Eddie, Sr.) Williams, Joyce Dickson, Sharon Frealing, Arlene White, and Roslyn White. James had a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, James Dickson, Sr., Mary Lee Dickson, and Delores A. Dickson; grandparents J.C. and Hoseanna (Youmans) Dickson; and sisters Shelley Ann Dickson, Jacqueline White, Onna Graham, and Willa Mae Simpson.
