Gregory Allen Jefferson, Sr

Gregory Allen Jefferson Sr., 67, passed away on August 1, 2023 at the Reading Hospital.  
Born in Reading, Pa, he was the son of Jennie B. (Horne) & Cortelyou Jefferson. He graduated from Reading Senior High School in 1974.  
He was a member of Union Baptist Church. Gregory enjoyed fishing, dancing and listening to music. He loved watching the Dolphins and spending time with his family. He will be remembered for how well dressed he always was, his dance moves & his charismatic affect on the ladies.  
Gregory was selfless. He cared for his mother & helped raise his little sister Patti.  
He is survived by his children. Three sons, Gregory Jr., Devon, & Jaylen Jefferson, all of Reading Pa.  One grandson & granddaughter, Giante Jefferson & Layla Jefferson. Two sisters, Patricia Jefferson of Reading Pa & Lynda Lightfoot of Ohio. Two brothers, Alfred (Ruth) Jefferson of Virginia &  Drew Allen (Bridgette) Walton of Reading. Six nephews, Alfred, Robert, Tanwan, Darquin & Jesse. Three nieces, Brytelle & Cheyenne. A special niece & nephew, J’Ne Jefferson & Andrece Gross who he raised as his very own.  
The funeral service will be held on August 14, 2023 at 11 am at Union Baptist Church. The viewing will be held from 9:30-11:00 am. Repast will be held at The Mary Alice Temple Berks Lodge (The Elks) at 2pm.
