Gerardo Nieves Santos

Gerardo Nieves Santos, 58, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, at West Reading Hospital, West Reading, Pennsylvania.

He was the beloved husband of Lucy Arroyo Guadalupe. Together, they shared 26 years of love, companionship, and devotion.

Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Gerardo was the son of Atilano Nieves Rodriguez and Carmen Santos Martinez. He attended school through the eighth grade and began working at a young age, always doing what he could to provide and care for those around him.

Gerardo enjoyed keeping things clean and in order and was known for spending time watching his favorite television show, Caso Cerrado. He will be fondly remembered for his infectious humor, warm personality, and the joy he brought into every room. There truly wasn’t anything about him that people didn’t love. His laughter, kindness, and generous spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

In addition to his loving wife, Lucy, he is survived by his daughter, Yalesmi Nieves Pacheco; and his extended family including Geraldo, Joel Nieves Pacheco, Lucy Casimiro, Angel Joel Casimiro, Angelica Falcon, Joel Isaac Casimiro, Anthony Lias, Jr., Luzdalus Rodriguez, Robert Yandel Mendez, and Robert Yadiel Mendez.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Atilano Nieves Martinez and Carmen Nieves Martinez.

Gerardo’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
