Carol Ann (Shovely) Rudolph, 84, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2025, at Reading Hospital, with family present.
Carol was born on July 9, 1941, in New York City, to Lula (Hodnett) Starling and Willie Shovely.
She graduated from Dodge Vocational High School, New York, in 1959. Carol worked at Bon-Ton for many years and joined Family Medical of Wyomissing in 2002, where she remained employed until her death.
Carol was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church, serving as Treasurer for Higher Education, Youth Advisor for Youth Ministry, participating in Sunday school, Bible Study, Prayer Meeting, and singing with the St. John’s Gospel Choir.
Carol loved helping others, traveling internationally with her sister and friends, shopping, following fashion trends, and listening to Motown music.
She is survived by her daughter Renee McMillan (spouse Raymond) of Exeter Township; seven grandchildren: Tiffany Glasco, Monique Glasco, Jazmin Glasco, Erika (Glasco) Mimms, Nia McMillan, Lanee McMillan, and Olivia McMillan; eight great-grandchildren: Eli Glasco, Analisa Valdes, Erik Deane, Madison Deane, Duane Deane Jr., Joseph Wills, Xavier Wills, and Priya Mimms; one grandpuppy (Kai); one sister, Yvonne Brown of New Jersey; one brother, Galen Starling of Connecticut; Cousin Geneva Curry; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Rhonda (Hobby) Glasco, and her brother Randy Starling.
