Brenda J. Ellison

Brenda Joyce Ellison, 81, of Reading, Pa., passed away on May 22, 2025.
Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the (late) Virginia Parker and the (late) Bernard Johnson, she was raised by the (late) Mother Beatrice and Deacon Willie B. Ellison.

Brenda graduated from the Reading School District in 1962. She subsequently worked at Western Electric Inc. and retired from Interim Health Service as an In-Home Health Aide.

She attended Saint John Missionary Baptist Church under Reverend John M. McCracken where she attended Sunday school and was a member of the Gospel Chorus; before joining St. James Church of God in 1967. Brenda had a passion for cooking, shopping, and watching her favorite TV shows, and most importantly caring for her family.

Brenda leaves to cherish loving memories two sons Correy Ellison and Kirk Taylor both of Reading, four grandchildren Elliott Nerce, Chandler Ellison, Tasheea Ellison, and Isabella Ellison; four sisters Patricia McLemore, Wanda Brandford, Ohio, Adella Clemons (Rudy), Nicole Ellison, five brothers Reverend Richard Ellison, California, Clifford Barksdale, Phila, Steve Ellison, Reading, Gene Brandford, (Emma), Ohio, Keith Brandford, (Vera), of Reading, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends. 
She was predeceased by her parents and three brothers Terry Brandford, Ronald Brandford, Charles Ellison, and three sisters Catherine Vorhees, Linda Conley, and Olivia Bowers Hines.
