Antonio Dennard Obituary

Antonio Dennard was born to the proud parents, Yumeka Dennard and Johnnie Harris on December 20, 1989 at Mercy Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.
Antonio attended Doolittle West and East elementary and middle school on the Southside of Chicago, where he graduated the eighth grade leaving a strong bond with many. In 2004, shortly after graduating from 8th grade, Antonio moved to Frisco, Texas with his dad and stepmom, Lolita. Antonio transitioned seamlessly into Frisco High School and then to Wakeland High School where he became an Elite Superstar Athlete. Antonio was an excellent student athlete, who got the grades and earned many awards. Antonio had an infectious smile and generous heart that caused him to develop long lasting and meaningful relationships with both his instructors and peers.
Shortly after moving to Texas, Antonio gave his life and heart to God. He was baptized at Covenant Church in Carrollton, Texas.
Upon graduating from Wakeland in 2008, Antonio committed to Langston University in Guthrie, Oklahoma, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology. It was at Langston University where Antonio was able to perfect his football skills more, becoming an even greater star on the field at the collegiate level, ultimately preparing him for the NFL.
During Antonio’s NFL career he played for the Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Giants, and the Green Bay Packers. Antonio went on to play for the Arizona Rattlers in the Arena Football League.
As a little boy and throughout the years, Antonio would often say to family members and friends that he wanted to have a very large family and he accomplished that goal. Antonio was passionate about football and many other things and people, but he was most passionate about being a father. Antonio became the father to seven beautiful children who will all miss him greatly!!
On October 16, 2022, Antonio was welcomed into paradise by his grandparents, Lessie and Walter Hughes; and brother, Jerry Carter.
Antonio leaves to cherish his memory his loving parents: Yumeka Dennard-Meeks and Gregory Meeks, Johnnie (Tiffany) Harris, and Lolita Harris; the mother of his children, Tavia Canon; his children; Carter, Savanna, Monica, Hana, Antonio Jr., Serena, and Maya; grandparents, Rosie Harris, Johnnie Wilbert; siblings, Deion and Triniti Harris; Godbrother, George Harris, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
