Anna Summers-Randall, age 64, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 4th 2023 at the Reading Hospital. She was the wife of Charlie Randall, Sr., with whom she shared over 40 years of marriage and partnership.
Born in the Reading, PA, she was the daughter of Lillian Summers and Norman Summers. She attended Reading High School where she was a stand-out athlete in track and field. She was employed by Linettes Quality Chocolate, Ludens, Godiva, and also provided care to patients at Berks Heim County Nursing Home. Anna was employed as Chocolate Associate and Nurse's Aides during her years.
Anna enjoyed dancing, music, movies, and sports. She loved going to concerts and local events with family and friends. Anna will be remembered for her endless love for her family and those that had the opportunity to be a part of her life. She had a strong spirit and ensured that those values were instilled in her children. Anna was a fierce and proud woman who always dressed well and took care of herself and others that were important in her life. She held no grudges but would let you know where you stood in her eyes. Her family learned from her. All were grateful that she was honest, caring, respectful when necessary but firm when needed. She will always be an inspiration til the end of time. Her favorite movie was Cooley High, her favorite singers was Maxwell and Fantasia, and she loved going to Jamaican Concerts. The food and music of Jamaica were her favorites.
Anna is survived by her husband Charlie Randall, Sr., aunt Mary Thomas, uncle John Bowles, sister Dores Allen and children, Charlie Randall Jr., Kenneth Randall, Sharena Randall, Jason Caulk and Latrina Randall, also grand children, Destinasia Grayson, Jenisis Grayson, Jalil Grayson, Lillyana Grayson, Jashaun Grayson, Sa'Mia Grayson, Angel Grayson, Kash Grayson, King Grayson, Kendrick Grayson, Joshua Grayson, Ammoraha Grayson, Teyana Randall, Aiden Randall, Carly Randall, Charlie Randall III, and great grandchild Kaliah Blount. All these are heirs to her courage, wisdom and kindness.
Anna was predeceased by her parents Lillian and Norman Summers, her brother, Emory Summers, two sisters, Dorothy Summers and Evelyn Nazario, and children Jeremy Caulk and Latrina Randall.
Anna’s Celebration of Life will be closed to immediate family and close friends. Others that would like to attend please RSVP. Celebration will occur on Sunday July 9, 2023 from 2 to 6 pm.
