Angelo Pizarro, Sr.

Angelo Pizarro, Sr., 61, passed away Sunday, June 23 at Penn State Medical Center Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Reading, Pa. 

Born in New York, New York, he was the son of Angel and Gloria Pizarro. He graduated from Reading High School and was employed at New Direction as a security guard for over 10 years.  He had also done landscaping for over 25 years. 

He was the husband of Deborah Pizarro. They shared over 46 years together.

Angelo enjoyed playing with his grandkids, going to Atlantic City, playing dominoes, and watching sports with family. He will be remembered for his wonderful heart and caring ways.

A man of incredible strength and love, who wore many hats. A veteran of the National Guard, son, brother, father of 4 wonderful kids, pop pop to 10 amazing grandchildren, uncle to 16 nieces and nephews, and great uncle to a few more. Recently, he faced a devastating diagnosis, but never lost hope and continued to be a shining example of courage and love. He married the love of his life after 46 years together and earned his wings the next day, leaving behind a legacy of love and inspiration for his family and friends to cherish.

Angelo is survived by his wife Deborah, 2 daughters, Shanta Woods (Edward), Tya Pizarro (fiancé, Eric Lee) and one son, Angelo Pizarro Jr., (Sissy Pizarro), brothers, Juan Morales, and Elvin Villoch, sisters, Carmen Morales, Ivette Pizarro and Lillian Villoch, grandchildren, Shayanna Pizarro, Angelo Pizarro III, Juliyanie Pizarro, Anthony Little, Kiymoni Adams, Empryss Woods, Ermias Woods, and Edonis Woods, also seven nieces and nine nephews and a handful of great nieces and nephews. Also pets: Brownie and Max (deceased).
He was predeceased  by grandchildren, Michael Brooks Jr.,Ermaeus Woods, and Tina Schweitzer.
