Georgia Mae (Allen) Towles

Georgia Mae (Allen) Towles departed this life on Tuesday, February 5th, 2019 in Reading, PA at the age of 67.  She was born September 5th, 1951, to the late George and Lillie Mae (Davis) Allen.

To cherish her memory, she leaves behind her husband, Willie Towles; her children, Paul Burgess, Georgia Burgess and her common-law husband James Washington, Jerry Burgess and his wife Carla, Valerie Burgess, Jeffrey Burgess.

Georgia Mae is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Jackson (fiancé Michael Goeltz) and Alice Allen, both Reading, PA; brother James Allen (Shirley), of New Haven, CT.

She is also survived by nine grandchildren: Letitia Burgess, Darius Burgess, Anthony Burgess, Lashana Burgess, Dante Burgess, Isaiah Brown, Naquain Burgess, Jada Burgess, Ay’vionna Brady; seven great grandchildren, Daquan Burgess, Aleana Burgess, Zyaire Burgess, Zariah Burgess, Alexis Burgess, Marcel Burgess, and Brea Burgess; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Georgia Mae was preceded in death by seven brothers: Charles (Stoney) Allen; Henry Allen; Thomas (Tom) Allen; Lavern (Sonny) Allen; Randolph Allen; William (Bill) Allen; and Leo Allen.

Homegoing service is scheduled for Tuesday, February 12th, 2019 at Harris Funeral Home, 222 N. Front Street, Reading, PA 19601-2929 at 10:00 AM. Viewing begins at 9:00 AM.
